The Department of Design (DoD) of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment extends its heartfelt appreciation to the 35 dedicated students from the BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, BA (Hons) in Fashion Marketing, and Foundation in Art & Design programmes, as well as the 13 committed faculty members who played an integral role in the success of the ASEAN FESTIVAL 2023.

ASEAN FESTIVAL 2023, where First City University College stood proud as a supporting partner, was held from 30 November to 3 December 2023 at LaLaport in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. DoD’s participation at the festival served as a testament to the collaborative efforts of its talented students and staff. The contributions included the creation of captivating illustrations for display and active participation in the vibrant Bazaar.

On 23 January 2024, a poignant Certificate of Appreciation Presentation Ceremony took place at the Faculty of Design & Built Environment to recognize and applaud the exceptional commitment and contributions of the students and faculty members. The certificates were presented by the Deputy Dean, Associate Professor Dr Debbie Gan.

Reflecting on the success of the ASEAN Festival 2023, DoD envisions that this expression of gratitude will serve as a clear affirmation of the department’s strong emphasis on collaboration. It is DoD’s aspiration that this gesture of appreciation becomes a source of inspiration, fostering and cultivating even more profound teamwork among its esteemed faculty and students in forthcoming ventures.
