MASTER YOUR ENGINEERING FUNDAMENTALS AT FIRST CITY UC<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Currently, many industries across the world are adopting the use of Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Automation and various other digital technologies in their daily work. This is a sure sign that the global phenomenon known as Industrial Revolution 4.0 (I.R4.0) is gaining a foothold in the workplace.<\/p>

I.R 4.0, which can be understood as the digitalisation of the manufacturing sector, is bringing about a surge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related jobs in Malaysia.<\/p>

Doubtlessly, this key transition in the Malaysian economy has caught the attention of the Government. To address the growing importance of I.R4.0, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) instituted the Industry4WRD policy, with the aim of nearly doubling the number of skilled workers by the year 2025.<\/p>

Boasting over 30 years of experience under its belt, First City University College has successfully guided many students through the fast-changing engineering industry. Its Faculty of Engineering & Computing (FEC) offers up-to-date engineering programmes which are taught by a team of qualified lecturers with deep insights into the industry.<\/p>

Students with Foundation, UEC or A-Level qualifications are enrolled into Year 1 of FEC\u2019s Bachelor Degree programme whereas students with a relevant Diploma can progress to Year 2.<\/p>

FEC students at First City UC enjoy access to up-to-date course materials and cutting-edge equipment such as the IoT Development Kit, PCB Plotter, Lathe Machine and Milling Machine.<\/p>

Moreover, students are required to conceptualise and implement their own Final Year projects, before showcasing them at the annual Innovation Day event. First City UC\u2019s industry partners have been known to attend this event and even offer jobs to outstanding students.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Honours programme equips students with a broad range of knowledge and technical skills required to become a certified mechanical engineer.<\/p>

The programme places emphasis on developing students\u2019 analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal communication skills as well as engineering management skills. This prepares them for the prospect of working in an I.R 4.0 centred global environment, while ensuring that they adhere to the social, ethical and professional practices.<\/p>

Through the mandatory industrial attachment module, students are able to apply practical knowledge such as usage of the Solid Edge and Solid Works industrial standard software.<\/p>

They also become acquainted with the relevant work principles and work ethics required in the workplace.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
