With over 30 years of experience, First City University College\u2019s Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communication (FBHC) has a track record for preparing students to overcome challenges in this dynamic, ever changing business world.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They will be exposed to crucial topics such as market research and analytics, digital marketing, marketing planning and customer relationship management.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moreover, they will enhance their communication, teamwork, entrepreneurial, social and marketing analyt<\/span>ical skills, which are crucial in the business workplace. They will be given valuable opportunit<\/span>ies\u00a0<\/span>to apply these skills during their internship, which will further allow them to pursue careers in Marketing, Sales & Services, Customer Relationship, Retail, Advertising, Media Relations or even Public Relations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Students of this programme may apply for membership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) at a discounted rate. The BA (Hons) Business Management programme aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to manage the day-to-day activities of a business. For this purpose, students will be taught a variety of topics such as globalisation and sustainability issues, workforce diversity management, supply chain management, human resource management, risk management and enterprise management.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The<\/span>\u00a0BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance<\/span><\/b>\u00a0programme equips students with the relevant knowledge and skills pertaining to the financial sector. Students will be exposed to knowledge concerning current Accounting & Finance policies, along with standards and practices for the local and global working environment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other than the theoretical aspects, the programme emphasises on developing students\u2019 soft skills in the workplace. For that purpose, they are required to undergo a mandatory internship in order to hone these skills further. Career opportunities include Corporate Accounting, Public Sector Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Retail Banking, Investment Banking, Finance or even Wealth & Asset Management.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduates of this programme will benefit greatly when pursuing major professional qualifications. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) will grant First City UC Accounting & Finance\u00a0graduates\u00a0full exemption from 9 fundamental papers.\u00a0\u00a0Furthermore,\u00a0 after\u00a05 continuous years of active membership, ACCA members may be granted the prestigious FCCA (Fellow Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) status, strengthening their credentials.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduates sitting for the CIMA Professional Qualification Examination will be granted exemption from 7 papers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
