The Fourth Industrial Revolution\u2019s (I.R 4.0) impact on Malaysia\u2019s economy extends to the IT sector. Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies have started shifting towards IT based solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Consequently, more employers are looking to hire IT talent who serve as network and database administrators as well as software and application developers.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 30 years\u2019 experience under its belt, First City University College invites those interested in IT to enroll in its Diploma in Information Technology programme.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Offered by the Faculty of Engineering & Computing (FEC), this programme aims to equip students with the theoretical and technical competencies to land a career in the IT industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

The programme\u2019s modules will ensure that students will become familiar with relevant IT topics such as\u00a0Web-based Systems, Software Applications, Internet Technology, Multimedia Technology, Information Systems,\u00a0Computer Networking, E-commerce, and Database Management Systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only will students learn how to provide innovative, creative, and ethical solutions in the IT industry, they will also demonstrate vital soft skills such as teamwork and leadership. Moreover, all students will undergo a mandatory internship placement to gain valuable exposure to real-life working conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Graduate may secure jobs in fields such as Networking & Security, Software Development, Computer and System Support, Database Administration, Mobile Applications, E-commerce and more! Otherwise, they may choose to enter Year 2 of the following degree programmes: Software Engineering, Computer Science Intelligent Systems, Business Management Information Systems, and Networking & Security.<\/span><\/p>\n

June Intake, Scholarships & Virtual Open Day<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Those interested in either one of the Diploma programmes should quickly enrol this June to secure First City UC\u2019s attractive scholarships and financial assistance. These include the First City Merit Scholarship, UEC Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, Sibling Incentive and others. Moreover, graduates will be entitled are more than encouraged to proceed with the Bachelor studies as they will be eligible for a 15% Alumni Incentive!<\/span><\/p>\n
