MASTERING IC DESIGN: SIEMENS EDA TRAINING WORKSHOP<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The ‘Siemens EDA Basic Custom Training’ workshop, held on 25 & 26 October 2023, was a significant learning opportunity for five participants from the Faculty of Engineering and Computing at First City University College.<\/p>\n

The training session was conducted under the guidance of Khoo Choon How, who serves as an Application Engineer in the IC Design Department at Emerald Systems Sdn. Bhd. Participants were provided with the opportunity to utilize state-of-the-art industry-standard IC design tools, including both the Full Siemens EDA Virtual Machine version 23.8v3 and the Pyxis Only Virtual Machine version 23.9v1.<\/p>\n

This training was pivotal in equipping the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to work with state-of-the-art IC design software. The participants, including faculty members Dr. Nur Dalila binti Rizuan, Dr. Norhayati binti Mohd Zainee, Dr. Mas Izzati binti Fazin, Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Tay Ching En Marcus, and Foo Choon How, gained valuable insights into the intricacies of IC design, which is crucial in today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape.<\/p>\n

The training workshop facilitated a dynamic learning environment, fostering collaboration and enabling the participants to stay abreast of the latest industry standards.
