SPOOKTACULAR CREATIONS: FOUNDATION IN ART & DESIGN’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME DESIGN COMPETITION<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The Foundation in Art & Design Halloween Costume Design Competition was an enchanting event that brought together the creative talents of 18 students in a spooktacular afternoon tea party held on 31 October 2023 at the Atrium of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment.<\/p>\n

Organized by the team from the Foundation in Art & Design programme, this event not only celebrated the spirit of Halloween but also showcased the students’ ingenuity and eco-friendly design skills using recycled materials.<\/p>\n

The participants in this event didn’t just create costumes; they transformed everyday materials like cardboard and old fabric into imaginative and captivating outfits. Their ability to turn trash into treasure was a testament to their creativity and resourcefulness. It was impressive to witness how their artistic minds worked, seeing beauty and potential in materials that others might overlook.<\/p>\n

Julia Low Zi Ni, a Semester 1 student, bagged the first prize with her creative costume design, followed by Ng Ji Fung and Chuah Qi Hong, both from Semester 1, who claimed the second and third prizes, respectively. The creativity displayed by these students was truly exceptional.<\/p>\n

Even those who didn’t secure top positions left with smiles on their faces, as Law Jia Lin, Chew Kah Suan, and Wong Zi Ning from Semester 3 received consolation prizes for their outstanding efforts.<\/p>\n

Beyond the competition, the Halloween Costume Design event was a testament to the spirit of community and creativity among the Foundation in Art & Design students. They not only had fun during the event but also learned the value of recycling and the limitless possibilities of artistic expression.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
