On 28 February 2024, the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) hosted the “Arduino for Hands-On Laboratory Applications” workshop, facilitated by a faculty member, Mohammad Hafizuddin bin Ameruddin. Attended by 15 academic staff as well as students, this workshop provided an immersive exploration of Arduino fundamentals.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe training delivered by Mr. Hafiz is very useful especially for beginners. The training includes basic skills and knowledge of Arduino\u201d noted one of the participants, Dr. Mas Izzati Binti Fazin.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis training has been an invaluable opportunity for me to delve into the intricacies of Arduino boards, from mastering pin configurations for hardware connections to seamlessly navigating the Arduino IDE for efficient code development, compilation, and uploading.\u201d remarked Dr. Muhammad Hanafi Bin Yusop.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the workshop was the incorporation of hands-on learning via Tinkercad simulations, enabling participants to experiment with Arduino circuits in a risk-free virtual environment. The workshop concluded in a practical exercise simulating a home automation system, where participants integrated various sensors with Arduino boards.<\/p>\n

The Best Group Project Award was bestowed upon Ahmed Fariz bin Azim, Chang Chun Yang, Joshua Ramesh Gopal, and Matthias Ong Zi Qian, recognizing their dedication and teamwork in accomplishing a remarkable project. Their achievement not only signifies their hard work but also serves as an inspiration, underscoring the importance of collaboration and innovation in academic pursuits.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
