On 27 February 2024, 22 students from the BA (Hons) in Fashion Marketing (BFM) and Foundation in Art and Design (FAD) programmes embarked on a field trip celebrating the National Craft Day at the Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the trip were five lecturers from the BFM programme; Sharifah Mazwari, Grace Soon, Nazima Abdullah, Victor Khoo and Hosny Hassim as well as three lecturers from the FAD Programme; Karen Cheang, Yvonne Ou, and Teh Chun Boey.<\/p>\n

The primary objective of the trip was to provide students with hands-on experience and insights on the techniques employed to transform raw materials into marketable products. Interactions with craftsmen and artists allowed the students to gain a clear understanding of the marketability of various handmade items. Additionally, the students participated in seminars led by industry experts, delving into topics relevant to handmade arts.<\/p>\n

Throughout the day, the students eagerly participated in the National Craft Day activities.
