On 27 June 2024, 25 students from the Master of Design Management, BA (Honours) in Graphic Design, Diploma in Graphic Design, and Foundation in Art & Design programmes participated in a day trip to the Digital Art Gallery at Muzium Telekom, UR-MU @ The Toffee, and Central Market. The trip was organised by the Design Club of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment.<\/p>\n

During their visit to the Digital Art Gallery, students were introduced to projection mapping and gained insights into creating immersive digital experiences. They had the opportunity to interact with exhibits and understand the technical aspects behind digital art installations.<\/p>\n

Next, the students visited UR-MU @ The Toffee, an urban museum which showcased works by Malaysian fine artists. They engaged deeply with the visual narratives crafted by local artists, appreciating the cultural and artistic expressions embedded in each piece.<\/p>\n

The day concluded with a visit to Central Market, where students observed first-hand how local artists and brands strategically position themselves in the market. They also explored how traditional and contemporary art forms merge with market demands.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on their experiences, students expressed a newfound appreciation for the technical nuances of digital art and the rich cultural narratives woven into local artworks. The trip broadened their understanding of digital and traditional art forms and underscored the importance of preserving and promoting Malaysia’s diverse artistic heritage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
