The Alumni Reunion 2024 was a momentous event held at First City Hall on 27 July 2024. Organized by the Student Services Department, the event featured an afternoon filled with engaging activities, insightful updates, and ample opportunities for alumni to reconnect with friends and faculty.<\/p>
The day began with faculty updates from Asst. Prof. Ms. Komlavathi, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communications; Asst. Prof. Ms. Chua Huwi Huwi, Dean of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment; and Asst. Prof. David Foo Sek Kuan, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science & Technology. Their presentations set the stage for a productive and enlightening afternoon.<\/p>
Following these updates, a forum titled “How Technology is Reshaping Job Roles in Business, IT Industry, Art, and Design” provided valuable insights from alumni Jacky Loke, Chong Xian Lim, and Jacqielynn Saw Sze Wye. In addition, Mr. Leong Yit Han; Head of Marketing, Advertising and Promotion, shared exciting updates on postgraduate and microcredential programmes. The lucky draw session by Prof. Dr. Saw Sor Heoh added an extra spark of excitement to the unforgettable event.<\/p>
The afternoon continued with a lively spin-the-wheel game, giving all registered alumni the opportunity to participate. Nine prizes were presented, including a voucher for a one-night stay at One World Hotel, a buffet dining voucher at One World Hotel, 3 Chili\u2019s cash vouchers, and 4 meal vouchers at 1 Utama. Additionally, a Quizizz game tested everyone’s knowledge about First City University College, with the top three finalists winning Parkson\u2019s vouchers amounting to RM50 each. The prizes were generously sponsored by One World Hotel and Radius Arts and Crafts.<\/p>
To wrap up the event, attendees gathered for a group photo, capturing the memorable moments of the reunion. This was followed by a networking session and refreshments, allowing everyone to further strengthen their connections. We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who attended and contributed to the success of the Alumni Reunion 2024.
