The workshop aimed to equip aspiring storytellers with industry-relevant scriptwriting techniques and a deeper understanding of how to write effectively for film, advertising, and online media.<\/p><p>The workshop guided participants through the full script development process\u2014from conceptualizing idea and structuring narratives to building characters and crafting impactful dialogue. Students learned how to adapt their writing based on specific purposes and target audiences, with a focus on how to evoke emotion in short films, deliver sharp messaging in advertisements, and maintain authenticity in vlogs.<\/p><p>The highly interactive session featured brainstorming exercises, collaborative scriptwriting in teams, and live feedback from the facilitator. Visual planning techniques such as storyboarding and shot lists were also introduced, giving students a more complete view of the content creation pipeline.<\/p><p>By the end of the workshop, students expressed new motivation and excitement for content creation. \u201cIt was such a fun and hands-on experience. Working in teams to develop our own scripts gave me the confidence to start writing my own content,\u201d shared Gabriella Fauzia. Another participant, Nicole Leong, reflected, \u201cI used to think ads were just quick and easy, but now I see how much thought goes into every second.
