Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

DIPLOMA IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
N/0714/4/0003(MQA/PA15238)07/27
OVERVIEW
The programme aims to develop students with both technical skill and theoretical knowledge in mechanical engineering. Students will gain insight in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, hydraulics & pneumatics and also applied mechanics. Students will develop industrial related hands-on experience both during the course and during internship. The Progrmme employs project-based learning through mini projects and a final year project. All students will be registered with the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM).
The Programme objectives are:
- To produce diploma holders with a broad education in mechanical engineering that is built upon a solid understanding of engineering sciences and mathematics.
- To produce diploma holders with knowledge, skills, and technical competency in mechanical engineering discipline and be able to adapt themselves to new technological advancement and challenges in the field of mechanical engineering.
- To produce diploma holders with the ability to communicate effectively and contribute as a team member or as a team leader and be willing to take up the responsibility of development in country and community.
- To produce diploma holders with the ability to solve mechanical engineering problems innovatively, creatively, ethically and with social responsibility for the betterment of the country and community.
- To produce diploma holders with the ability to adapt to global working environment and be able to engage in research and life-long learning.
