#futureMALAYSIA 2020 Online Competition – Virtual Prize Giving Ceremony

The #futureMALAYSIA 2020 Online Competition concluded with an eventful Virtual Prize Giving Ceremony! The competition was held by First City University College with the purpose of cultivating students’ interest in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)+ Art fields.
Students participating in the #futureMALAYSIA 2020 Online Competition were required to answer 50 questions covering English, Mathematics, Science, Business and Art.
These questions were formulated by academic staff members from FDBE (Faculty of Design & Built Environment), FEC (Faculty of Engineering & Computing), FBHC (Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communication) and the IEP (Intensive English Programme) departments.
Altogether, more than 500 students attempted these challenging questions. In the end, First City UC picked 15 students with the highest scores as the winners of this competition. They each received a First City UC scholarship worth RM8,000.
Meanwhile, the Top 5 schools who contributed the highest number of student participants each received RM1,000.

2) Kuen Cheng High School, Kuala Lumpur
3) SMK Bandar Utama Damansara 3, Petaling Jaya
4) SMJK Chan Wa, Negeri Sembilan
5) SMK Convent, Muar, Johor
First City UC Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saw Sor Heoh congratulated the winning students for their stellar achievement. She encouraged them to pursuit and further their passion by enrolling in one of First City UC’s study programmes.
The Virtual Prize Giving Ceremony ended with a lucky draw conducted by First City UC Chief Operating Officer Ms. Yeong Yin Cheng. The prize, a sleek looking, Red iPhone 11, went to Ms. Annie Kong.
Ms. Annie, from SMK Methodist, Sibu was also one of the 15 student winners from the #futureMALAYSIA competition.
