Graduation 2021

It was a momentous occasion for First City University College as graduates received their much coveted and well-earned scrolls at the Graduation Ceremony 2021. The 25th annual graduation ceremony was held on 19 December 2021, Sunday at the Grand Ballroom of Avanté Hotel, Bandar Utama.
The ceremony celebrated the success of Diploma, Degree and Master graduates from the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communication and Faculty of Engineering & Computing.
Choo Han Lim who graduated in Master of Software Engineering stated that non-technical skills such as soft skills and research skills were taught to diversify the skillsets of the graduates to prepare them for higher studies and for their working life.
First Class Honours recipient in BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design, Teh Wei Jie garnered many external awards which have made First City University College proud. He won the Gold Award in the International Design Awards 2019 and the Silver Award in the Johor Interior Design Award 2019.
Wong Chian Hau and Soh Wei Wei who graduated in Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Diploma in Mass Communication respectively, were the proud recipients of the Student of the Year Awards. Both students credited the programmes for providing them with the basic practical and theoretical knowledge which prepared them for their degree studies.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Saw Sor Heoh congratulated the graduates for their success and achievements. At the same time, she also commended them for their unwavering perseverance and commitment in successfully completing their studies despite the challenges brought upon them by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the “Student of the Year Awards & Excellence Awards” by YgBhg Tan Sri Dato’ IR Teo Chiang Kok, Chairman of First City University College’s Board of Governors. The recipients of these awards were graduates who demonstrated excellence in their studies and extracurricular activities.
