YB Chang, in his launching speech, voiced his concern about the decreasing interest of the younger generation in STEM education. He expressed optimism that MOSTI’s initiatives, including Malaysia Techlympics and the Karnival Minggu Sains Negara, could serve as valuable educational platforms and sources of inspiration for students, reigniting their interest in STEM fields.
YB Chang also extended his gratitude to key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, State Education Departments, District Education Offices, and higher education institutions like First City University College, for their unwavering support of MOSTI’s efforts to advance science, technology, and innovation in Malaysia.
The Malaysia Techlympics 2023 welcomed the participation of students from both primary and secondary levels, while the Karnival Minggu Sains Negara (MSN) 2023 Selangor was an inclusive event open to schools from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya, as well as the public.
