FDBE KICKS OFF SEMESTER WITH AN ORIENTATION DAY EXTRAVAGANZA

The Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE) kicked off the new semester with an exhilarating event, the FDBE Orientation Day, held on 23 January 2024 at the faculty. The gathering encompassed students from various programmes, including BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design, BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Furniture and Product Design, BA (Hons) in Fashion Marketing, Diploma in Interior Design, Diploma in Graphic Design, and Foundation in Art & Design.

The day was marked by a spirited Treasure Hunt Challenge, a highlight of the orientation festivities. Students were randomly grouped with creative team names, embarking on a thrilling adventure across the campus. Clues guided the teams to easily accessible spots, unveiling treasures and presenting them with engaging challenges. This interactive activity aimed to foster camaraderie among the new and returning students, providing a platform for them to forge friendships and familiarize themselves with the campus.

The Treasure Hunt Challenge not only added an element of excitement to the orientation but also served a dual purpose of helping students acclimate to their surroundings and creating a dynamic atmosphere for the commencement of the semester. It has successfully encapsulated the spirit of unity, fun, and the beginning of an academic journey filled with shared experiences and new connections. As the students navigated through the challenges, laughter and teamwork resonated, setting a positive tone for the upcoming educational endeavours at the Faculty of Design & Built Environment.
