A Well-Deserved Reputation as The Top 10 Innovators – Congratulations to Our Student Team

Our team, consisting of students Foo Cheong Jun and Tan Hui Yee from the Faculty of Engineering & Computing, had the incredible opportunity to showcase their project alongside the top universities in the country at the World Engineering Day (WED) Design Challenge 2023.

In the prestigious WED Design Challenge organized by the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI), our team earned a well-deserved reputation as the Top 10 Innovators. Cheong Jun and Hui Yee came up with a brilliant project known as the Total Asset Protection Assistant – O (TAPAO), which is an automated system designed to protect cars during floods.

On 9 June 2023, following an intense Pitching Bootcamp a day before, our team confidently presented the TAPAO project to a panel of innovation experts during the WED Design Challenge 2023 Grand Final held at the MRANTI Park in Bukit Jalil.

We extend our heartiest congratulations to our team, guided by Dr. Nurul Atiqah Bt. Ahmad, for this outstanding achievement. Being recognized as the Top 10 Innovators was certainly a remarkable accomplishment that showcased the technical skills, talent, and creativity of our Engineering students.
