This honours degree programme is designed to produce business entrepreneurs and future business leaders who can fuel and sustain Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) which are important for the nation’s economic growth. In this context, the programme incorporates modules and learning outcomes in areas such as enterprise management, developing entrepreneurial skills, new venture creation, management accounting and finance, brand management and marketing, innovation and business development.


With growing interest in entrepreneurship versus being an employee, this programme is designed to prepare graduates to tap into entrepreneurship in the market.


Students can apply to be CIM (Student) Affliate at discounted membership fee.

Learning Outcome

Upon completion of the programme, students are expected to be able to:


• Communicate effectively through oral, written and visual means to create and communicate understanding for different purposes and contexts, using appropriate digital technologies


• Interact and engage collaboratively in a group, contribute positively and productively and take on a range of roles within the group to meet its goals


• Identify, define, assess and evaluate concepts, ideas and issues in order to adopt an informed approach to assessing scenarios and problems and to explore new arguments to extend, modify or challenge existing ideas and views


• Acquire a breadth and depth of knowledge in the practical and theoretical aspects of the discipline areas and apply that knowledge within economic, social, environmental, technological, global and multi-cultural contexts


• Locate, organize, analyse, synthesise and evaluate information systematically, cohesively and coherently in assessing and presenting information for problem-solving and decision-making


• Recognize the ethical impact of their studies and activities in a socially and culturally diverse global world and the importance of sustainable development


• Identify problems and collect evidence for analysis, synthesis and evaluation using a range of appropriate approaches and techniques


• Be able to consider new ideas, methods and approaches in theoretical and practical perspectives, think creatively and critically and understand the importance of responding to a changing environment flexibly and proactively


• Appreciate the leadership skills needed to motivate, direct and engage others towards goal achievement in a way that values diversity, equality and contribution of others


• Apply reflective thinking in pursuit of self-reflection, self-discovery and personal development, adapt and respond to change, recognize the need for social skills in a global community and maintain an openness to life-long learning

Entry Requirement

Minimum 2Cs and 5 credits in SPM (inclusive of English and Mathematics) and at least a pass in Malay Language and History
