40 students from Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) class and 5 staff attended “Public Speaking 101″ hosted by Ebright on 8 February 2024. Ebright is one of Malaysia’s most prominent public speaking centres.

The session was led by Mr. Gautham Palaniandy, known as Mr G, a senior coach at Ebright with 7 years of public speaking coaching experience with a background in B.Sc Psychology (Communication Studies).

From exploring body language techniques which include maintaining eye contact and utilizing hand gestures to relaxation techniques, Mr G fostered an interactive atmosphere designed to equip participants with relevant skills they could apply in real-world scenarios.

Towards the end of the programme, Mr G extended an invitation to interested students to explore part-time opportunities as facilitators at Ebright.

The Student Services Department and the Centre of General Studies presented Mr G with a token of appreciation for his contribution in upscaling the attendees public speaking skills, techniques and confidence.

Overall, “Public Speaking 101” workshop by Ebright, led by Mr. G, served as a transformative experience for students to excel in their academic pursuits and beyond.
