It was during this time of the year when the Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE) students were deeply immersed in their Visual Merchandising projects, a core module within their bachelor’s degree programmes.

Collaborating closely with the House of Fashion at Quill City Mall in Kuala Lumpur this year, 32 students from Graphic Design, Interior Architecture and Design, Fashion Marketing and Furniture and Product Design engaged in an exciting visual merchandising initiative on 28 November 2023 at the fashion house.

Their culminating Visual Merchandising project served as a comprehensive showcase of their profound grasp of the essential principles and practices in effective retail merchandising. This undertaking emphasized the fusion of creativity with strategic planning, aiming to captivate customers and drive both sales and brand loyalty.

The students utilized an array of visual communication tools such as signage, displays, and graphics to eloquently convey the brand’s message and seamlessly guide customers within the store. Their meticulous attention to detail was evident in aspects like typography, colour contrasts, and the overall visual hierarchy, showcasing their dedication and skill.
