In celebration of Malaysia’s Independence Day on 31st August and Malaysia Day on 16 September, the Library organised a Merdeka & Malaysia Day Quiz on 11 September 2024. The event aimed to deepen students’ knowledge of Malaysia’s history while promoting patriotism and fostering a sense of healthy competition through an engaging educational experience.

The quiz, open to all students, consisted of 10 multiple-choice questions, designed to challenge participants’ knowledge of Malaysia’s rich heritage. It was conducted online, with the first five students to submit the fastest correct answers being declared as the winners.

The top five winners of the quiz were announced, with Mak Feng Ying from the Faculty of Design and Built Environment securing first place. Wong Jia Yee, Lee Chai Xuan, and Jasmine Yap from the same faculty, secured second, third, and fourth places, respectively. The fifth winner, Lee Jia Zhe, represented the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology.

Participants thoroughly enjoyed the event and expressed their excitement for future quizzes organised by the library. The event enhanced their knowledge of the nation’s history and successfully fostered a sense of pride and camaraderie within the FCUC student community.
