WELCOME SMJK YOKE KUAN STUDENTS TO FIRST CITY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE FOR AN EXCLUSIVE IR4.0 EXPERIENCE!

The IR4.0 experience for students from SMJK Yoke Kuan was organised by the Dean, Asst. Prof. David Foo Sek Kuan, and carried out by the team from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology during their visit to First City University College.
Students explored our cutting-edge Future Tech Lab and participated in hands-on workshops on big data and predictive analytics using KNIME. They had the opportunity to interact with smart switches, IoT systems, and robotics — bridging knowledge with real-world applications.
One of the highlights was a live robot demonstration, where students witnessed robots in action — a moment that sparked curiosity, excitement, and a deeper understanding of IR4.0.
The workshop, Predicting Air Pollution Trends in Malaysia with KNIME, conducted by senior lecturer Cham Kah Loon and programme coordinator Mohd Sukry bin Mohd Taib, further enriched the students’ learning experience with practical insights and data-driven tools.
The students’ enthusiasm and engagement were truly palpable throughout the visit. Their energy brought a vibrant atmosphere to our Future Tech Lab and workshops, making the experience memorable for everyone involved.
A big thank you to our dedicated team for making this visit a success!
