A Visit to Yan Keang Building and Beryl Chocolate at Petaling Street

On 16 January 2026, students from the Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design and the Diploma in Interior Design programmes took part in an educational field trip to Yan Keang Building and Beryl Chocolate at Petaling Street.

Through site observations at Yan Keang Building and Beryl Chocolate, students gained insights into adaptive reuse strategies and the influence of commercial architecture within heritage contexts.

This hands-on learning experience enabled students to critically analyse space through historical, contextual, and human-centred perspectives, providing valuable insights to support and enhance their future design practices.
