CODE A COOL PYTHON MINI-APP

A hands-on coding workshop titled “Code a Cool Python Mini-App: Unleash Your Creativity in Just Hours!” was hosted by the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology on 21st March 2025. The session aimed to inspire students to explore IT-related career paths and build confidence in programming by completing small but meaningful coding projects.
Participants were guided through fundamental Python concepts and encouraged to solve real-world problems with a practical, industry-oriented approach. The workshop also highlighted how to organise code effectively, document solutions, and even incorporate AI assistance through prompt engineering.
Charles Thomas Morss from Bachelor of Computer Science (Intelligent Systems) (Honours) shared, the experience was “more than just coding—it was about understanding how a coder works efficiently and creatively in a real workplace.”
The workshop demonstrated the possibility of creating impactful, working applications using Python—showcasing the language’s versatility and the power of collaborative learning.
