Design Students Explore Temporary Structures in Urban Spaces

On 17 September 2026, Year 1 Diploma in Interior Design students visited the Klang River at Old Klang Road and Taman Tasik Titiwangsa as part of their Temporary Structure project. The visit gave students practical exposure to site observation and analysis, exploring how materials, surroundings and user needs influence temporary structure design.

Guided by community architect Ms Qistina of Kongsi KL at the Klang River, students examined temporary installations and explored how urban spaces can be creatively adapted for community use. At Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, they also studied 12 award-winning pavilion designs, gaining fresh ideas and practical insights to develop their own design concepts.
