EXPLORING TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE – A STUDY AT KUALA LUMPUR CENTRAL MARKET

Five students from the BBA (Honours) Hospitality Management program visited the Kuala Lumpur Central Market on 19 March 2024. The purpose of the trip was to help the students understand how to study longitude effectively.

Le Jia Qian, one of the students, noted that by closely observing tourist behaviour during the visit, the students can gain valuable insights into what influences tourists when they visit attractions.

The students got to see these theories in action as they looked at the facilities provided by the government to make the tourist experience better. “We have the opportunity to observe not only the government’s provision of facilities for tourists, but also the practical application of the theories taught in class, which can be applied as practical lessons during the visit” said Grace Gwee Shi Jie.

In conclusion, the visit to the Kuala Lumpur Central Market provided valuable practical experience for the students, allowing them to apply classroom theories to real-life situations and gain insights into conducting longitudinal studies in the tourism industry.
