Final Assessment Session Strengthens Students’ Readiness for Professional Design Practice

The Diploma in Interior Design programme at First City University College conducted a Final Assessment Session with Industrial Guest Assessors on 29 April 2026, providing students with valuable professional exposure before graduation.

The session involved students from the Interior Design 5 studio, who presented their final design proposals to invited industry practitioners from the architecture and interior design field. Through constructive feedback and professional evaluation, students gained deeper insight into industry expectations while strengthening their presentation, communication, and design development skills.

Students found the experience highly beneficial. Participants shared that the assessment helped them better understand professional standards, improve the quality of their design presentations, and build greater confidence in presenting ideas for future practice.
