First City University College Displays Spirit and Creativity at 2025 MBPJ Parade Competition

Eighteen enthusiastic students and staff from First City University College took part in the MBPJ Parade Competition on 21st June 2025, in conjunction with the 19th Anniversary Celebration of Petaling Jaya City.

Held at Laman MBPJ, the event brought together teams from various institutions and organisations. Coordinated by the Student Services Department with support from Dr. Marcus Tay of the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, First City University College team was led by Edmond Liew Chi Hin and dance leader Alvis Ang Kim Lee.

The team impressed the crowd with a vibrant flag routine, a lively TikTok dance, and eye-catching face paint, marching confidently among competitors like CAT Arts College, Jabatan Penguatkuasa MBPJ, Assunta Hospital, and more.

Despite the high level of competition and elaborate performances from other teams, First City University College stood out with their energy, teamwork, and creativity. “I’m truly proud of all my team members for their hard work and amazing performances. We gave it our all and have no regrets,” said team leader, Edmond Liew Chi Hin.

The experience proved deeply meaningful. It offered a platform for students to develop leadership, build friendships, and proudly represent First City University College to the wider community.
