From Information Systems to Industry Practice at Sim Leisure Group

On 4 August 2026, lecturers from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology visited Bachelor in Information Systems (Business Management) (Honours) student Joel Wong during his internship at Sim Leisure Group. The visit provided an opportunity to review his progress and learn more about his experience within the Systems and AI Department.

Through his internship, Joel gained hands-on exposure to data validation, quality assurance, system testing, ticketing data management and AI-related research. Working in a professional technology environment allowed him to apply his academic knowledge while developing the technical capabilities, independence and workplace awareness needed for the industry.
