HAIFHE 2026: Shaping the Future of AI in Higher Education

First City University College successfully hosted the inaugural Human-AI Futures in Higher Education (HAIFHE) Conference 2026 on 19–20 August 2026 at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

The two-day conference brought together academics, researchers, educators and industry practitioners to exchange insights on the evolving role of AI in higher education through keynote and plenary addresses, research presentations and an Industry Dialogue.

From responsible AI adoption and academic integrity to human-AI collaboration, HAIFHE 2026 reinforced an important message: AI should enhance human learning and work while keeping human values and capabilities at the centre.

The inaugural conference also strengthened opportunities for research, interdisciplinary exchange and meaningful collaboration between academia and industry.
