MIFF Furniture Design Competition Award Ceremony 2026

Representatives from the Faculty of Design and Built Environment attended the MIFF Furniture Design Competition Award Ceremony on 6 March 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre. The event celebrated emerging design talents from across the country as part of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair.

Lim Jun Yan, a student from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Furniture and Product Design programme, was recognised as one of the Top 10 finalists in the MIFF Furniture Design Competition 2026. The competition brought together talented young designers and was judged by a panel of experts from Malaysia and abroad, highlighting creativity, innovation, and technical design skills.

Reflecting on the achievement, Lim Jun Yan shared, “Being selected among the Top 10 in the MIFF Furniture Design Competition 2026 is a great motivation for me. The competition challenged me to push my creativity and think critically about design solutions. Having my work evaluated by experts from Malaysia and abroad gives me valuable insights and inspires me to continue improving as a designer.”
