On 20 December 2024, First City University College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ACG Media Sdn Bhd at the White Canvas Gallery. This collaboration is designed to empower creative students by introducing key initiatives, including the Future Design Star (FDS) Awards Competition, Dialogue with Design Organisation (DDO), and The Creators Exchange (TCE).

The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Dr Saw Sor Heoh, Vice-Chancellor of First City University College, Assistant Professor Chua Huwi Huwi, Dean of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment of First City University College, Mr Alvin Chang Kok Kit, Chief Executive Officer of ACG Media, and Ms Juliet Hong, Director of ACG Media.

Under this MOU, ACG Media will actively promote the FDS Awards Competition through its platforms and include First City University College’s logo in relevant promotional materials. Additionally, ACG Media will conduct an exclusive interview with the Dean of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment, which will be published on DesignSpeak Asia. The collaboration also includes inviting renowned designers to the Dialogue with Design Organisation programme to inspire and guide students and faculty members.

The ceremony concluded with both institutions celebrating this partnership, which promises to deliver significant benefits to students while advancing innovation in design education and professional readiness.
