Movie Chill Out Day Brings Students Together

On 1 October 2025, students were treated to a Movie Chill-Out Day organized by the Student Services Department (SSD). The event, held at the Student Services Lounge aimed to welcome the new students from the September 2025 Intake and help them connect with their seniors. It brought together students from various faculties for an afternoon filled with laughter, snacks, and good company.

The featured film, Johnny English Reborn, kept everyone entertained with its witty humour and light-hearted action. The lounge was transformed into a cozy “mini cinema,” as students settled in with popcorn, drinks, and plenty of laughs. The casual atmosphere encouraged new friendships and served as a perfect icebreaker for those just beginning their journey at First City University College.

The event also offered students the opportunity to unwind and strengthen their sense of belonging on campus. Phua Yong Han, a Degree in Graphic Design student, shared, “I feel very happy to be able to mingle around the student lounge and enjoy the movie with my friends, along with delicious snacks and drinks.

The Movie Chill-Out Day was a great success, as participants left with new connections and fond memories. It promoted interaction, well-being, and togetherness with the campus community.
