First City University College’s Year-End Staff Gathering and Tea Reception on 20 December 2023, resonated as a pivotal event marking our collective strides toward progress and excellence. The esteemed presence of Board of Governors & Director Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) Teo Chiang Liang elevated the occasion, highlighting its significance.

Professor Dr Saw Sor Heoh, Vice-Chancellor, commenced the event with an invigorating Opening Address, setting the tone for the insightful sessions ahead. Philip Lim, Head of Corporate Communication & Public Relations, engaged the audience with a forward-thinking discourse on ‘Our Brand Narrative: The Way Forward.’ This was followed by an illuminating presentation by Leong Yit Han, Head of Marketing, Advertising & Promotions, illuminating the roadmap toward building strong brand connections.

The spotlight then shifted to academic excellence, where Deputy Registrar Norasiken binti Radzuan, representing Senior Registrar Lye Boon Han, articulated strategies for ‘Elevating Excellence’ in academic quality.

Subsequently, the deans from the three faculties Assistant Professor Chua Huwi Huwi, Associate Professor Dr Leong Wee Phin, and Ir. Ts. Mah Siew Kien from the Faculty of Design & Bult Environment, Faculty of Business, Hospitality & Communication, and Faculty of Engineering & Computing respectively, shared invaluable perspectives on ‘Quality Education, Global Graduates,’ fostering a rich exchange of insights.

The event culminated in Professor Dr Saw Sor Heoh’s Closing Address, resonating with a call to action, bridging our visionary aspirations with tangible steps forward.
