PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION SHOOT – CAPTURING MALAYSIA’S CULTURAL HERITAGE

A cultural photography photoshoot was organised at Thean Hou Temple and Batu Caves as part of a student photography competition on 28th April 2025. The event aimed to showcase Malaysia’s rich traditions, vibrant colours, and spiritual atmosphere, offering an immersive experience into the country’s diverse cultural heritage.

The students from the Diploma in Mass Communication practiced various photography techniques such as framing, using natural light, and capturing candid portraits. They focused on documenting rituals, architecture, and festive scenes. This hands-on experience challenged their creativity while sharpening their visual storytelling and documentary skills.
