SAS Institute Visit Introduces Students to Data Analytics and AI Careers

On 9 July 2026, students and academic staff from the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology visited SAS Institute Sdn. Bhd. at Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), where they explored industry-leading data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The educational visit introduced participants to SAS Viya for Learners and SAS Skill Builder, providing valuable insights into analytics, AI, and professional certification opportunities.

Students also learned about career pathways in data science, including roles such as data analyst, data scientist, data engineer, and data architect. The session highlighted how industry-recognised skills and certifications can enhance employability while preparing graduates for the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The visit broadened students’ understanding of data analytics and AI while reinforcing First City University College’s commitment to equipping graduates with industry-relevant knowledge, practical skills, and future-ready career opportunities.
