The Student Council 2024/2025 commenced its new term with an Inauguration Ceremony held on 19 January 2024 at the Lecture Hall of Centre for Postgraduate studies.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr Hing Hiang Lian, representing Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saw Sor Heoh, officiated at the ceremony. The event was also attended by the Management team, including the Senior Registrar, Mr Lye Boon Han, Faculty Deans and representatives, and Heads of Departments.

A significant moment during the event was the ‘Order of Succession,’ where the outgoing President, Crystal Tan Mei Xuan, symbolically handed over responsibilities to the incoming President, Fow Seng Joe, through the presentation of a mock key, signifying the transfer of leadership for the Student Council 2024/2025 term.

The ceremony marked a pivotal moment in the council’s milestones, signifying continuity and a fresh start. Congratulations resonate with the newly elected members, and the university community eagerly anticipates their contributions to the vibrant student and campus life ahead.
