Student Pop-Up Stall Builds Entrepreneurial Skills Through Hands-On Experience

The Faculty of Business and Communication hosted a Student Pop-Up Stall on 25 March 2025, bringing together students from the Master of Business Administration, Diploma in Business Administration, and Diploma in Mass Communication programmes.

Students managed their own stalls, applying real-world business concepts such as pricing, marketing, and customer engagement while leveraging digital platforms for promotion.

Participants found the experience valuable. Fow Seng Joe shared, “This pop-up stall gave me the opportunity to apply what we have learned in class into a real business setting.” Lee Ern Ern added, “I learned how to handle customers, manage pricing, and work as a team.” A Diploma in Mass Communication student shared, “It was exciting to see how our campaigns attracted customers to the stalls.”

The initiative strengthened students’ confidence and practical skills, reinforcing the university’s commitment to experiential learning.
