Visit to Kajang Heritage Centre and Dialogue Session

The visit to the Kajang Heritage Centre on 21 January 2026 provided students with valuable insights into the town’s historical and cultural development. Guided by Mr. Lee, students were introduced to the heritage narratives, community stories, and everyday life of Kajang’s earlier generations, offering a deeper understanding of the town’s identity and evolution.

The session continued with a dialogue involving Mr. Lee and MPKj Town Councillor, Mr. Ong SP, where students engaged in discussions on Kajang’s urban context, planning direction, and community needs. This exchange enabled students to better appreciate the town’s challenges and opportunities before commencing their design projects.

Aligned with MPKj’s Rancangan Kawasan Khas (RKK) Pusat Bandar Kajang, the students’ projects aim to support Kajang’s township development while enhancing community well-being and spatial quality. The visit served as a meaningful foundation for informed, context-driven design exploration.
