Beryl’s Wonderland Visit Inspires Students Through Experiential and Brand-Centred Design

On 10 June 2026, students from the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Interior Design & Architecture programme visited Beryl’s Chocolate Shop & Museum in Seri Kembangan, where they explored how design can transform a commercial space into an engaging and memorable visitor experience. Organised by the Department of Built Environment, the study visit provided valuable learning beyond the classroom.

As they toured the museum, students examined how interior architecture, lighting, materials, graphics, and spatial planning work together to communicate a brand’s identity and tell compelling stories. The award-winning design of the museum also demonstrated how exhibition, retail, and educational spaces can be seamlessly integrated to enhance visitor engagement.

The experience encouraged students to think critically about experiential and user-centred design while inspiring them to incorporate storytelling and branding strategies into their own projects. The visit reflects First City University College’s commitment to providing industry-relevant learning experiences that prepare students to create innovative and meaningful spaces.
