New students joining First City University College in the October 2023 Intake had a memorable first day on 16 October 2023, thanks to the dedication of the Student Services Department in organizing an informative and exciting Orientation Programme for them.

The welcoming event featured a wide array of engaging activities and informative sessions, ensuring that the students not only gained vital information but also immediately fostered a sense of belonging on campus.

The first segment of the programme involved a Mass Call for the October 2023 Intake, with the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Saw Sor Heoh, accompanied by the Deans of the faculties and Heads of Departments/Centers. Prof Dr. Saw, in her address, congratulated the new students for choosing First City University College as their preferred institution and provided guidance on how they could maximize their educational journey at the institution.

As part of the warm welcome, student clubs and societies took the stage and delivered a welcome performance that included songs and dance. In the afternoon, the programme took an energetic turn with team-building activities and icebreaker games, all expertly organized by the Student Council. These interactive sessions encouraged the students to step out of their comfort zones, collaborate with their peers, and build strong bonds within their respective groups.

The October 2023 Orientation Programme has successfully fostered an environment of inclusivity and camaraderie, leaving the students fully prepared to embrace all the opportunities and experiences that awaited them at First City University College.
