Introduction to CERI

First City University College is committed to nurturing research and building research capability and capacity. We strongly believe research and innovation are the key factors in our evolution as a dynamic university.

CERI’s Goal

To spearhead and advance Research & Development and Commercialisation (RDC) at First City University College.

CERI’s Objectives

The objectives of CERI are to:

  • Inculcate a strong research culture.
  • Promote and encourage multi-disciplinary research and innovation.
  • Promote commercialization of research findings.
  • Encourage collaborative research with industry, government agencies, public and private institutions.

CERI's Organizational Structure

CERI consists of three operational units as follow:

  • Research Management Centre
    The Research Management Centre (RMC) manages the research activities within First City University College.
  • Postgraduate Centre
    The Postgraduate Centre supports the registry office in managing the postgraduate students’ research activity within First City University College.
  • Intellectual Property and Commercialization Centre
    The Intellectual Property and Commercialization Centre manages the patent and commercialization, and intellectual property matters within First City University College.
