On 4 July 2024, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center was a hub of creativity and learning as it hosted the DATUM: Green Conference and the ARCHIDEX 2024 Trade Exhibition. The event included six students and three lecturers from the Faculty of Design & Build Environment – Building and Interior Architecture Department (BIAD).

The day began with the DATUM: Green Conference, where the lecturers IDr. Fakhul Zaman and Ms. Izzatul Hidayah were in attendance. The conference focused on innovative pathways to achieving recognition and success in architectural and interior design professions. Esteemed architects and designers shared their insights, exploring new trends and future directions in the field.

Following the conference, the focus shifted to the ARCHIDEX 2024 Trade Exhibition. Ahmad Tamimi Bin Mohammad, another lecturer, joined the six Semester 4, 2nd-year BIAD students for this part of the event. The exhibition showcased the latest trends, materials, and finishes, offering attendees with an opportunity to explore new products and technologies shaping the industry.

In summary, ARCHIDEX 2024 and the DATUM: Green Conference were highly enriching experiences for both the lecturers and students. They offered profound insights into architectural design advancements and fuelled a passion for pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation in the field.
