“Autumn Memory 3” Brings Light, Unity and Festive Cheer to Campus


First City University College’s campus came alive with glowing lanterns, laughter, and celebration during “Autumn Memory 3”, held on 10 October 2025. Organised by the Student Services Department, Chinese Cultural Society, and Student Council, the event transformed the campus into a lively scene of colour, culture, and connection as students and staff came together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
A ceremonial lantern lighting marked the symbolic start to the night, followed by captivating performances, a joyful dinner, and two exciting rounds of lucky draws. Participants also showcased their creativity in the Lantern Making and Traditional Costume Competitions. Lantern competition winners included Heng Jia Yu from Diploma In Graphic Design, Winnie Gwee Shi Nee from also Diploma In Graphic Design, and Asst Prof Ir. Dr. Marcus Tay Ching En while the costume competition honoured both students and staff for their cultural flair.
The celebration with a heartwarming lantern walk around campus, symbolising light and togetherness. Goh En Qi from Bachelor of Computer Science (Intelligent Systems), shared, “I had fun joining the lantern walk. It was enjoyable to take a night stroll around our campus with my friends. I also loved the food and mooncakes served during the event.” As the night ended with a group photo and smiles all around, many left looking forward to next year’s celebration: Autumn Memory 4.
