Bursa Malaysia Field Trip Enhances Students’ Financial Literacy and Industry Exposure

The Faculty of Business & Communication organised a field trip to Bursa Malaysia on 31 March 2026, involving students from the Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Management, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Marketing, and Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Hospitality Management.

Students gained valuable exposure to Malaysia’s capital markets through sessions on smart investing, derivatives, Exchange Traded Funds, and Bursa Malaysia’s MyBursa platform.

Students found the experience insightful. Kaw Qing Wei shared, “The introduction to MyBursa was very practical. It showed us how technology is shaping the way we interact with financial markets today.” Lhavanya added, “The Sens-Ability Programme helped me understand how to make smarter financial decisions.”

The visit strengthened students’ financial awareness and practical understanding, supporting the development of informed and industry-ready graduates.
