COUNSELLING TALK ON LIFE PURPOSE AND GOAL-SETTING

The Student Services Department and Centre for General Studies organised a counselling talk, “Finding Your Life Purpose and Setting Your Goals,” on 18th February 2025. The session was attended by 28 students from Interior Design, Graphic Design, and Mass Communication programmes.
Students participated in an interactive icebreaking session and used self-discovery worksheets to identify their strengths. Ms. Teh Chia Li, a licensed student counsellor, also introduced the SMART goal-setting framework, guiding students in setting clear objectives. The session ended with a student sharing activity, where participants posted images of their dream lives.
Kelvin Ang Yu Han from Diploma in Interior Design shared, “I especially liked the interactive game ‘Draw a Penguin’—it was a fun way to learn more about myself and my friends.”
The talk provided students with insights into self-awareness and goal-setting techniques.
