Design Club Hiking Activity Promotes Well-Being, Friendship, and Holistic Learning

On 6 June 2026, the Design Club of the Faculty of Design & Built Environment organised a hiking activity at Bukit Kiara Hill Walk, bringing together students and lecturers for a morning of outdoor exploration, teamwork, and meaningful interaction beyond the classroom.

As participants navigated challenging trails and supported one another along the journey, they developed resilience, communication, and teamwork while enjoying the restorative benefits of nature. The activity concluded with a shared breakfast, providing further opportunities for students and lecturers to connect in a relaxed and informal setting.

Students described the experience as refreshing and inspiring, noting that it helped them reduce stress, stay active, build stronger friendships, and gain new creative inspiration away from their academic routines.

The initiative reflects First City University College’s commitment to holistic education by promoting students’ physical and mental well-being while fostering a supportive learning community where meaningful relationships and personal growth can flourish.
