ESG CRASH COURSE BY FULLER ACADEMY

On 24th January 2025, the Student Services Department, in collaboration with the Centre for General Studies, organised the ESG Crash Course by Fuller Academy. The session introduced attendees to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and their significance in corporate sustainability.

Ms. Bernadine Francis, Knowledge Management & Innovation Lead at Fuller Impact Sdn Bhd, led the session, covering key ESG concepts, sustainability risks, and corporate policies. She engaged students through interactive discussions and real-world examples, such as how sustainable practices can help businesses reduce costs, particularly in design and packaging.

“I was happy that this talk let me gain a lot of new knowledge about how being environmentally friendly can impact a company’s revenue as well. The speaker also shared that being an ESG company is becoming more important as more countries focus on sustainability,” said Billy Bong Jia Hong from Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Marketing.

Through initiatives like the ESG Crash Course, students from various programmes, including those under the Centre for General Studies, are equipped with practical knowledge that enhances their academic learning. These sessions help them connect theoretical concepts to industry practices, broadening their perspectives on sustainability and responsible business strategies
