On 17 July 2024, the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology hosted its Dean’s List Reception, recognising the outstanding academic achievements of 27 students. The ceremony honoured exceptional students from various programs, including the Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Mechatronics, Bachelor of Software Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Information Systems (Honours) in Business Management, Bachelor of Computer Science (Intelligent Systems) (Hons), Bachelor of Information Technology (Networking and Security) (Hons), and Bachelor of Electronic Engineering with Honours.

Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Tay Ching En Marcus highlighted the importance of balancing academic excellence with active participation in co-curricular activities, emphasizing that this holistic approach is essential for preparing students for successful careers. Senior Registrar Lye Boon Han and Dean Asst. Prof. David Foo Sek Kuan extended their heartfelt congratulations to the award recipients, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

Chin Zhi Kuang, a recipient of the Dean’s List award from the Bachelor of Electronic Engineering with Honours, shared “Being recognized on the Dean’s List is a tremendous honour. It reflects the hard work and dedication I’ve put into my studies.” He added, “Balancing work and study was challenging, but the effort has truly paid off.”

The event concluded with a group photography session, where students, faculty, and staff captured memories of this significant occasion. The Dean’s List Reception was an inspiring event that celebrated the academic accomplishments of the students and highlighted their potential for future success.
