FCST Strengthens Academic and Industry Engagement at KV Kulim Technology Convention 2025

The Faculty of Computer Science and Technology (FCST) participated in the Annual Technology Convention 2025 at Kolej Vokasional Kulim on 16 November 2025. The event gathered educators, industry speakers, and students for discussions on professionalism and emerging tech. Taking part in platforms like this gives the faculty a clearer insight into current industry expectations, which directly shapes how we prepare First City University College students for real workplace demands.

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Chng Chern Wei delivered a keynote titled “Artificial Intelligence: Collaboration Between Humans and AI!”. His session highlighted practical ways humans and AI systems can work together. This perspective helps FCST refine teaching materials and classroom projects so that students practice skills that employers actually value.

As a Technical Advisory Panel member for KV Kulim’s Department of Information Technology and Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chng contributes feedback that keeps vocational and tertiary curricula aligned with real industry needs. Through these engagements, FCST strengthens networks that can open future pathways for student projects, internships, and collaborative learning opportunities.
